Working Hours: Between the hours of 8:00am - 6:30pm - must be flexible

At Leiston Surgery we pride ourselves on offering excellent, efficient and friendly service to all patients.

We currently have 3 full-time ‘Multi Skilled Administrator’ positions available as below-

  • Reception/Dispensary/Data Entry
  • Reception/Administration/Secretarial
  • Reception/Administration/Dispensary

The ideal candidates will be passionate about great customer service and enjoy working as part of a team.

You would be working closely with our experienced teams in the reception, dispensary, administration and secretarial departments, and be the first point of contact for our patients.  

The full-time hours may include starting at 7:45am and finishing at 6:30pm, flexibility is vital.

We operate across two sites, Leiston and Yoxford Surgery, but the roles are mainly based at the Leiston Surgery site. We are a growing practice, currently providing services to over 8700 patients.

General Practice experience is preferable for the roles however training will be provided , the successful applicants will need to be competent in using a computer and enjoy working as part as a busy team.

Salaried GP Position

Due to expansion, there is an exciting opportunity for a salaried GP position at Leiston Surgery.

Ideally 4-6 sessions, but negotiable.

Our well established team comprises 5 GP Partners, Practice Paramedic, 2 Physician Associates, Clinical Pharmacist and a stable, high performing nursing team. As well as contracting to provide in house physiotherapy and mental health support.

We pride ourselves in being an innovated team with highly motivated and experienced GP’s, with strong management support and a skilled clinical and administrative supportive team, who are enthusiastic and committed to provide excellent patient service.

Reception Manager

Job overview

We are seeking to recruit a motivated and committed Reception Manager to lead our team. The Reception Manager will work within the reception staff team, providing training, guidance, support for and management of staff.

He/she will strive to maintain the highest standards of practice by the team, recognising the essential role of receptionist as the first point of contact with the surgery for patients and other professionals.

The Reception Manager will work closely with the Practice Manager and liaise with other staff teams to ensure the business of the practice runs as smoothly as possible.

Main duties of the job

They will have excellent customer service and communication skills. A positive and friendly attitude will be essential, as well as personal confidence and the ability to deal with challenges in a calm and professional manner.The successful applicant will be involved in recruitment, training and appraisal of new and existing staff and will provide a steady and reliable source of support and guidance for the team.

Overseeing the reception department of the practice, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities. Line managing all reception staff, supporting staff development, providing guidance and direction and identifying when team training is required.Compiling reception staff rotas and ensuring sufficient cover is provided for periods of leave and other staff absences, deal with any problems reported by other members of the Reception team.

Confident and accurate in the use of general IT Experience essential.
